Music and PT

Music is a great tool that can be creatively combined with PT treatment, theory, research, and principles. Not only does it make the treatment session fun, but it challenges patients’ balance, coordination, and agility. Music serves as an external cue to facilitate initiation of movement. Individuals must continually plan ahead to execute their next steps. Music allows for the fun factor to be included into treatment rather than just doing “work”.
