If you are a senior and you are concerned about your balance, you are not alone. According to the Centers for Disease Control, 2 out of every 3 individuals over 65 fall each year. Impaired balance is a common and complex problem. Balance is an intricate interaction of multiple systems including the vestibular system.

Vestibular hypo-function is a common cause of balance impairment for seniors. For a vestibular balance program to be effective, it must incorporate enough of a challenge that balance is compromised with visual and vestibular challenges. We have created a video with exercises that can be implemented at home to improve balance and vestibular deficits.

We hope you enjoy this video, and always remember to be cautious when attempting these exercises at home.
